Join us at our 2019 Salon Owners Summit Cruise
Dear Friend and Colleague,
Since you have shown an interest in Hairdresser Career Development Systems, I want to share some exciting news.
As I travel throughout the United States and Canada, it is apparent that it is time to unite as professionals and take back our profession and our salons.
For too long salon owners have been isolated in having to battle the many deep-rooted challenges and obstacles of salon ownership. Staff turnover, price, commission wars, staff pirating, inability to find quality staff, lack of an apprentice on-the-job training program, new minimum wage and overtime laws, inability to find quality information, rising business costs…the list goes on and on.
Unlike the product companies that have a vast amount of time, money, and other resources to serve their self interests, salon owners have little time and resources to express their business and educational needs. We have no voice.
I am inviting you to join me on our 7-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida March 3- 10th, 2019. Please download our 2019 HCDS Cruise flyer for complete information.
The purpose of this conference is to form our own association finding solutions to the many challenges facing our salons. My hope is we can learn from each other and create a united front against every obstacle affecting our salons, our profession, our personal lives, and the livelihoods and standard of living of hairdressers and salon owners.
The goal is to provide an open forum where salon owners can exchange business ideas, voice our concerns, learn from each other, and seek proven solutions. “Salon Owners Helping Salon Owners” will be our theme.
The vast knowledge and experience from salon owners can be both powerful and overwhelming. Who better understands our educational and business needs than those of us working daily in our salons?
In order to stay objective and focused on your needs, free of any product companies or special interest groups, only salon owners who share our goals and vision are invited.
This will be your conference and your opportunity to share your business concerns and to provide money-making ideas that come from you and your fellow colleagues. Utilizing round-table discussions, we can address issues and find solutions that will help you and your staff reach their full potential—personally, professionally and financially. Our cruise will help you take a break and renew your passion and determination taking your salon and staff to higher levels of excellence.
I have enclosed topics that I feel we must address. If you have any suggestions, I welcome your comments. Please visit my Facebook page and website to find out more about HCDS and the many resources available to you.
Make sure you reserve and lock in your special rate with your deposit and reservations. Cabins are limited. You have until December to pay the entire amount.
It will be our venue to share our thoughts and business needs.
In addition to our conference, I will be available the entire cruise to answer any of your concerns.
If you’re concerned with the future growth and development of your business and our profession in these times of economic uncertainties, this cruise will provide you with a unique opportunity to grow your business.
I hope you join me and other salon owners for a week of learning, fun, and a week that will help you regain your passion towards growing your business to higher levels of excellence, personally , professionally, and financially.
Sincerely,
Jon Gonzales
One giant obstacle we face as salon owners is apathy and denial among many salon owners.
Despite this challenge we can start a grass roots movement towards professionalism and take back control of our salons and our profession, please review my blog on the need to organize among like minded salon owners.
It would be a pleasure to help out on such an important topic. As a salon owner, and Cosmetologist of 16 years I have struggles unique that other business owners cannot relate to, so it is nice to have resources like HCDS. With a salon on every corner in my area, it’s been a huge struggle to fill one qualified position. So many Cosmetologist get out of school and think that is the end of the learning, with no business experience open the doors of a salon or expect a high pay rate for little to no additional education to show for it. So kudos to you for taking on such a huge goal for this industry. I agree with each topic above. I would love to find a mentor local to my area to share struggles and find answers to help create a change in our field. Thank you for a great blog, and being active figure in our industry. Would love to help.
Un site excellent ! La location saisonnière est une bonne alternative à l’hôtel et beaucoup moins cher !
