Overcoming and recovering from covid 19 made our challenges even more difficult.
Although many salons will continue to struggle or fail, despite these challenges I see a coming boom for open business minded salon owners who are well informed, excellent business men and women, who are determined to overcome these challenges making their dreams a reality. Tough times always separate winners form losers and tough times always present fantastic opportunities for the well informed.

With the proliferation of cheapie haircutting salons popping up throughout the United States as well as price wars, booth rental, salon suites, commission wars, rent wars, staff turnover, new minimum wage mandates, misclassification of workers, new employment laws, are making it difficult for salon owners to find solutions in today’s changing competitive and business climate.
Despite these challenges, I see windows of great opportunities for upscale well managed salons.
Today’s consumers will be crying out for upscale hairdressers and salon owners who are truly committed to meeting and exceeding their client expectations. Those of you who are determined to make your business and staff successful, and adapt change will be in high demand.
I see tremendous windows of opportunity for salon owners who are committed and know how to create a demand for their services.

During these difficult times, I urge you to keep a positive attitude, develop strong business management skills, seek out business knowledge and develop a competitive spirit.
