Jon Gonzales career in the beauty profession spans over 43 years as a working stylist/salon owner, lecturer, seminar leader, blogger, industry and business consultant, blogger, motivational speaker, educator, author, and entrepreneur, and founder of Hairdresser Career Development Systems and the University of Educational Excellence for Beauty Professionals. He has received wide acclaim throughout the United States and Canada for his educational programs.
Jon comes from a family of hairdressers and salon owners having both his mother and brother who own also owned their own salons with over 43years experiences as a working hairdresser/salon owner and 10 years as an educator.
Jon shares his own experiences (43 years) as a salon owner and 10 years as an educator and author offering insights and informational resources that can only be taught by a fellow stylist/salon owner who has successfully overcome the peaks and valleys of building a successful career and business. Jon was able to retire as a hairdresser/salon owner financially independent and debt free.
After his retirement Jon felt an obligation to share his vast knowledge by forming Hairdresser Career Development Systems with new ideas, new concepts and innovation in education free of any special interest groups helping his colleagues avoid and overcome the many challenges of building and growing a successful business and career ,making their journey easier than his.
Learning by trial and error is just unacceptable in today’s competitive and changing economy.
As a guest speaker at many of the top hair shows throughout the United States and Canada, and seminar leader, Jon’s practical and powerful educational business and personal development presentations and educational resources consisting of books, CDs,DVD’s business and personal success seminars, blog posts, and weekly business and success tips. As we are in the tech age, using social media, salon owners and hairdressers, Jon is receiving rave reviews for his efforts in reforming and upgrading our educational system to better meet growing and for all professionals in the beauty industry.
His goal is to raise their standard of living, helping his colleagues reach higher levels of excellence— personally, professionally, and financially.

Jon developed his haircutting and artistic skills at some of the top educational classes in Europe, at the Jingles school of haircutting in London, England, Luis LLongueras in Spain, World cup in France, Holland, Spain, London and New York.
The late Paul Mitchell was also a great inspiration towards my development.
