Price wars, recruitment wars, lack of a code of ethics, rent wars, and the list goes on and on.
Now you will have an opportunity to voice your concerns and offer your opinions in round table discussions on topics affecting your business and our profession. This will be a support group of ethical elite salon owners sharing their real world experiences and knowledge with fellow salon owners. Our mission theme is: “Salon Owners Learning from Salon Owners.”
Who better understands our business and educational needs than than those of us working daily in our salons? In today’s changing and competitive economy it is time for us to address and find solutions by working together. Too many salons are struggling and going out of business. We must stop the bleeding.

No product companies or special interest groups will be involved in our Salon Owners Alliance Network.
It is my wish that we can start chapters of our Alliance Network throughout the United States and Canada. If we are to raise the standard of living for salon owners and hairdressers, we must address our challenges and find solutions that are causing so much havoc and pain within our profession.

Only ethical independent salon owners will be invited to join this prestigious group. No special interest groups will be advertising and marketing their services or products with us. They have enough venues, money and advertising to get their services known.

Brainstorming — fostering money making ideas as entrepreneurs to grow our businesses together.
Code of Ethics — combat the underground economy where everyone pats by the rules. An equal playing field will be our reward.
Combat Turnover — we’ve allowed hairdressers to turn owner against owner. Price wars, commission wars, and staff pirating must stop! How can we grow our business and raise prices with a constant merry-go-round loss of key staff members? We must maintain business growth and stability.
Educational Reform — to better meet growing job market and consumer demands. If we are to raise our standard of living , we must raise our standard of educational excellence.
Client Retention — finding ways to earn the trust and loyalty of our customers. Negative word of mouth advertising can be devastating.
Compensation –— discuss different compensation systems.
Finding a Labor Law Attorney — it’s time to learn to protect our rights as an employer.
Social Media — discovering the power of social media and available online resources.
Recruitment Registry — finding ways to recruit and attract high end talent into our profession.
Apprenticeship — Find ways to develop an effective and affordable apprenticeship program.
There is more than enough customers for everyone. Let’s take back our salons and our profession.
