Five Tips for Balancing Your Personal and Business Life

” I measure wealth not by money but by family and fulfillment.”

As I travel throughout the country, I’m asked all the time especially from single mother’s and women with children how do I balance my personal and family life with my job or business.

Depending on your financial needs, you must determine what will make you happy. You must also determine your financial needs as well.  If you own a business the challenges are even greater.

It is my wish that the following tips will give you a few guidelines on how to balance your life and business with the challenges of raising a family.

Unless your born wealthy, or have a spouse that contributes financially, most people have to work, especially in today’s difficult and uncertain economy just to stay ahead of the high cost of living. We all have to make sacrifices not only to earn a good living but also provide for our families for a better life.

I hope these following guidelines will help:

Time Management – the easiest way to find more time is to organize and structure your time and business. Make sure you focus your time on productive activities. Learn to delegate or seek help when you feel overwhelmed.

Work Smarter, Not Harder – cultivate your mind by taking advantage of all the opportunities in social media.

Create a Demand – create value in your skills so you can create a demand for your services. Once you build that demand you will be able to schedule your time with your family while at the time earn a higher income. Maximize your full learning and earning potential, the more you learn, the more you earn.

Seek out Ongoing Self-Improvement – the more you learn, the more you earn. Education will help you meet the challenges of life with confidence.

Spend Time with Your Family –it’s not the amount of time you spend with your family, it’s about the quality of time you spend with your family. Work hard to balance your time with work and family.

Give Yourself a Break – sometimes you just need to spend a little time on yourself. Reading a good book, exercising, a massage, or simply go to a movie or spend time with your partner.

Renew Your Passion – most of us will have to work to stay ahead of the rising cost of living. Work hard to educate yourself, learn to love what you do and make your job fun and fulfilling, at the same time spending time with your family.

I certainly understand the challenges you face in trying to gain a better life for yourself and your family, Life is a series of peaks and valleys, but with clearer vision and a renewed determination you can and will overcome these challenges that everyone struggles with.
