I agree that turnover occurs in all trades,but it seems more prevalent in the beauty industry. This is a challenge that we must try to find ways to overcome.
An equal playing field would benefit everyone,sadly legitimate salon owners are being used to train talent only to lose them to competitors offering higher commissions or booth rental options. In my opinion the only way we can overcome this is by salon owners unifying in their community and quit allowing hairdressers to turn owner against owners. In order to grow any business you need business stability and business growth. It’s a win situation for both salon owners and their team. When turnover occurs, everyone in the salon is affected .
