Written by Jon on December 4, 2010 – 5:39 pm -” The ladder of success is never crowded at the top.” – Napoleon Hill
Why do some people make it big, while others just get by or fail ? This is a continuation of characteristics of successful people. Follow these guidelines on your journey up the ladder of success.
Success starts from within and your attitude towards a better life for yourself and your family. Do you have what it takes?
Follow these guidelines with an open mind:
Business Minded — learning a little about business will help you to better understand your boss better, so you can mutually work together towards the same vision and goals. Salons that are not run like a business usually fail. Learn other skills such as learning how to market your skills and salons to higher levels of excellence. Think like a businessman or women, it will help you grow.
Focused — stay focused on your goals and development. Many people will unconsciously, even your family will want some of your time. Avoiding distractions from your goals and efforts will be a heavy challenge.
Sacrifices — no one said building a hairdressing career or business would be easy. It takes a lot of personal sacrifices to achieve success. Are you willing to make a few sacrifices to reach your goals? Olympic athletes, champions and successful people know that to get to the top they will endure a lot of personal sacrifices. Show your competitive spirit and go for it.
Patience — it take time, education, experience and a burning desire to succeed. Take one step at a time, you will reach your goals, but you must pay your dues. Impatience is the greatest thief of success; you must learn to walk before you run.
Commitment — are you willing to make a commitment to maximizing your full learning and earning potential? Make a commitment today to bring out the best in yourself. Work hard to making a firm commitment towards a better life for yourself and your family.
Dynamic Personality — A real professional not only works hard to make their customer’s to look good but also works hard to build the self confidence and self esteem of their customers. A fantastic personality will make you a joy to be around. With a happy smile and great personality, you will stand above the crowd, are we not in the people business. Smile a lot, you’ll be a happier person as well as spreading joy to all your team mates and clients.
Faith in Yourself — have faith in yourself and in your skills, you control your own destiny. You better believe in yourself, you’re all you’ve got.
I urge you to review all three parts of my weekly blogs and challenge yourself ever day to follow these concepts. Excellence does begin with you. All of you have the potential to be as successful as you want to be. The choice is yours.
